September 2026 Mission Update, Sorry its so late!

I apologize for going so long between updates, it's been on my mind for some time that I need to update you on everything that has happened over the last year, and especially over the last several months! 

First off to the mission, the reason you are here. I was introduced to Guardian Paws Service Dogs here in the Boise area, and was invited out to see their training program. I was very impressed with the operation they are running, and the work they are doing is truly impactful for the veteran community. I'll remember for the next update to actually get their numbers, but off the top of my head from what I can see it is impressive. To that end so far this year we have donated $100 to their cause, and sponsored a trophy for $50 for their Annual Show and Shine fundraiser, which was yesterday. There were a slew of incredibly restored vehicles there, but I had to give the trophy to a USMC Willy's. I mean once I saw it was tagged by the Marine Corps was there really any other choice for me? 

You might notice that the logo up top is substantially different from the logo you are used to seeing. Well as it happens, so many people thought the bags of coffee with a picture of a dog and a paw print logo were actually dog food. So over the next few weeks we will be rolling out new designs for the labels, but rest assured it is the same coffee you have come to love. The sad part about this is there isn't going to be room on the new label for the dogs, however I am hoping to bring them back in the future when we have more capability to add labels to the back of the bags. 

Now some exciting news looking forward! Honorguard Coffee was selected as a finalist for the Boise Entrepreneur Week Trailmix pitch competition! This is an incredible opportunity for us, and for the mission. The final pitch is September 29, and I will be spending most of this month practicing for that!
