Rwanda Jarama

Rare Ground — April 2026 · Cyiya Village, Rwanda

Altitude: 1,700–1,900 masl · Process: Full Washed · Variety: Bourbon · Roast: Medium

Grown at the edge of the Nyungwe Forest

This lot comes from the Jarama Washing Station in western Rwanda, operated by the Kivubelt group in the high-elevation community of Cyiya. Volcanic loam soil, cool air at nearly 6,000 feet, and ideal sun exposure produce conditions that make this region home to some of the finest coffee in East Africa year after year.

Kivubelt was founded in 2011 to improve coffee quality and the livelihoods of the 500+ smallholder farmers they work with, paying up to 50% above local market rates for exceptional lots.
